- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
- The candidate applying for the post of Assam PSC must have registration in the Employment Exchange of Assam / PRC issued in Assam for educational purposes as proof of residency.

Assam PSC Educational Qualification 2026
Those who have completed a bachelor's degree through distance learning will not be considered eligible to apply for the posts. | (i) A certificate reflecting their experience of a minimum of 10 years in the specific areas as mentioned above, or any other documents establishing their eligibility for the posts. (ii) In case of candidates from the field of Law, his/her Bar Council Registration and Certificate from the District Court/High Court reflecting 10 years of experience/practice in the field is to be submitted along with the application form. (iii) In case of candidates who are/were employed under any organization, a certificate from the employer reflecting his/her experience in the relevant field is/are to be submitted along with the application form. (iv) In case candidates who are/have been self-employed, any document issued by the organization/organizations he/she is/have been associated with or rendering/rendered his/her service to, supporting his/her experience in their respective fields, is/are to be submitted along with the application form. | ||
Assam PSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- The selection process consists of two consecutive stages: Written Examination & an Interview/Viva-Voce.
- The final selection of the candidates will be on a Merit basis, and the merit lists will be prepared on the basis of total cumulative marks obtained by the candidates in each of the examinations, i.e. Paper-I, Paper-II and Viva Voce.
