GPSC AE Eligibility Criteria
GPSC AE Educational Qualification
Aspiring Candidates are requested to fulfil these Educational Qualifications:
Degree in Law (Integrated) of five years course obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act. 1956: and (i) have about three years of active and continuous experience as an advocate and such experience certificate shall be certified in case of an advocate practicing in the High Court, by the Registrar General of the High Court and in other case by the Presiding Officer of the concerned Court or the Tribunal where he practices as an advocate, or (ii) have about three years experience of legal matters in the Government / Local Bodies / Government undertaking / Board /Corporation / Limited Companies established under the Companies Act, 2013 or a University. Explanation: "Legal Matters" means all work relating to drafting of legal notice, affidavit, para wise remarks etc. filing of suits, appeals, providing opinion, briefing the concerned Law Officer or Advocate for the concerned court case pending before various courts. | ||||
(1) a Bachelor's degree of Architecture or Civil Engineering/Technology or Planning conferred by any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or any other equivalent qualification recognized as such under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972; and (ii) a post-graduate degree or post-graduate diploma in City Planning or Town Planning or Regional Planning or Traffic and Transportation Planning or Urban Design or Urban Planning or Infrastructure Planning or Industrial Planning or Environmental Planning obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or Institution approved by All India Council For Technical Education; and (C) have about five years' separate or combined experience after obtaining the requisite educational qualification specified in clause (b) in the field of City Planning or Town Planning or Regional Planning or Traffic and Transportation Planning or Urban Design or Urban Planning or Infrastructure Planning or Industrial Planning or Environmental Planning in Government / Local Bodies / Government Undertaking Board / Corporation / Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013. | ||||

(i) A bachelor’s degree obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government; A candidate who has appeared or intends to appear or awaiting the result of the final semester/year of the required qualification, can apply, but the candidate has to qualify and submit the required qualification as advertised before the last date of submitting the application for mains examination. A Candidate who fails to produce the proof of passing the Bachelor’s degree Examination shall not be eligible for admission to Mains Examination. | ||||

(i) a post graduate degree in any branch of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and (a) have about three years experience on the post not below the rank of Veterinary Officer, Class II, in the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Service under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry; or (b) have about three years combined or separate experience in the field of Veterinary Education or Veterinary Research or Veterinary related field such as extension work in Animal Husbandry or in the field of investigation and control of livestock disease in Government / Local Bodies/Government Undertaking / Board / Corporation / University / Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013 on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Veterinary Officer, Class II, in the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Service under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry; or (ii) a bachelor Degree in any branch of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be a deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, and (a) have about five years experience on the post not below the rank of Veterinary Officer, Class II, in the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Service under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry; or (b) have about five years combined or separate experience in the field of Veterinary Education or Veterinary Research or Veterinary related field such as extension work in Animal Husbandry or in the field of investigation and control of livestock disease in Government/ local Bodies/ Government Undertaking Board/ Corporation / University Limited Company established under the Companies Act, 2013 on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Veterinary Officer, Class II, in the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Service under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry; | (ii) he candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to get himself registered with the Gujarat Veterinary Council or Veterinary Council of India, established under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 at the time of his application for direct selection, if he is not so registered. | |||
(i) a Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agriculture (with basic degree of B.Sc. (Agriculture)) obtained from any of the Agricultural Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central Agriculture Universities Act or a State Agriculture Universities Act in India; And (ii) Have about five years separate or combined experience in the field of Agricultural Research/ Agricultural Education/ Agricultural extension Service / Soil Conservation / Agricultural Engineering after obtaining requisite educational qualification in Government / Government Undertaking / Board / Corporation / Local bodies / Agricutlure University / Research institute approved by Indian Council of Agriculture Research / Limited Company established under the companies Act, 2013. On the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Assistant Director Agriculture, Class II, in the Gujarat Agriculture Service under the Directorate of Agriculture. or (iii) At least second class post-graduate degree in any branch of Agriculture (with basic degree of B.Sc.( Agriculture)) obtained from any of the Agricultural Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central Agriculture Universities Act or a State Agriculture Universities Act in India; And (iv) Have about eight years separate or combined experience in the field of Agricultural Research / Agricultural Education / Agricultural extension Service / Soil Conservation / Agricultural Engineering after obtaining requisite educational qualification in Government / Government Undertaking / Board / Corporation / Local bodies / Agricutlure University / Research institute approved by Indian Council of Agriculture Research or Limited Company established under the companies Act, 2013. On the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Assistant Director Agriculture, Class II, in the Gujarat Agriculture Service under the Directorate of Agriculture. | ||||
(i) a Ph.D. degree in any branch of Horticulture obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India, or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as University under section 3 of University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and about five year’s combined or individual experience in Horticulture Research or Horticulture Extension service or Horticulture Education; or (ii) A second class post-graduate degree in any branch of Horticulture obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as University under section 3 of University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and about eight year’s combined or individual experience in Horticulture Research or Horticulture Extension service or Horticulture Education. | ||||
as the case may be Bachelor of Dental Surgery of any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared to be a deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956 (3 of 1956) or possess any other an equivalent qualification specified in the National Medical Commission Act, 2019; or as the case may be possess an equivalent qualification recognized by Dental Council of India; and (B) (i) Post-Graduate Degree in respective subject as shown in the Annexure against the each post, obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or possess an equivalent qualifications recognized by the National Medical Commission or as the case may be possess an equivalent qualification recognized by Dental Council of India or a degree of Diplomate of National Board awarded by the National Board of Examinations; or (ii) a post-graduate diploma in respective subject as shown in the Annexure against the each post obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or possess an equivalent qualifications recognized by the National Medical Commission; or as the case may be possess an equivalent qualification recognized by Dental Council of India and have about two years’ experience in respective subject in Government / Local Bodies / Government Undertaking / Board/ Corporation / Limited Company established under Companies Act, 2013 / Registered Non-Governmental Organization / Government Hospital / Trust Hospital / Private Hospital. M.S (Opthalmology) or Diplomate of National Board or Post Graduate Diploma in Opthalmology | ||||
(i) a degree of Master of Science (Nursing) obtained from a University or institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. (b) have at least three years teaching experience of Nursing College/ Nursing School/ Training institute of Nursing recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and have registered his name with the Indian Nursing Council or any State Nursing Council in India established under the relevant law. | ||||

Biotechnology/ Oil Technology/ Agricultural Science/ Veterinary Science/ Bio- chemistry/Microbiology/ Medicine/ Post Graduate degree in Chemistry obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or any other equivalent recognized qualification notified by the Central Government. and; (i) have at least two years' experience after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification on the post not below the rank of Food Safety Officer, Class-III in the subordinate service of Commissionerate of Food and Drugs Control Administration, Gujarat State; Or (ii) have at least two years combined or separate experience after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification in the field of analysis of food in any laboratory or research institute, accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing Calibration Laboratories and notified by Food Safety and standard Authority of India under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011 or in testing or research division of any Food ManufacturingIndustry approved by Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011 on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Food Safety Officer, Class-III in the subordinate service of Commissionerate of Food and Drugs Control Administration, Gujarat State. | ||||

What is the Application Fee for the GPSC OJAS 2025?
As per the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) Advertisement, candidates belonging to the General (Unreserved) category must pay Rs. 100/- as an Application Fee.
