Aspiring Candidates are requested to fulfil these Educational Qualifications:

(ii) Post-graduate and post-doctoral degrees as mentioned in Part-A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications in the concerned super-speciality. (iii) At least 3 years of teaching experience as Lecturer/ Registrar/Demonstrator/ Resident after doing post- graduation in the concerned speciality in any recognised Medical College. Note:- Two/Three Years degree course while doing D.M./ M.Ch. shall be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of appointment as Assistant Professor (Super-speciality). D.M. Nephrology 2/3 years course as recognized by M.C.I. after M.D. Medicine, or M.B.B.S. and 5 years direct course leading to D.M. Nephrology.	(i) Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh. (ii) Publication of research papers in Index Journals.
2/1-2025	Professor (Ophthalmology)	(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now National Medical Commission Act, 2019. Holders of Educational Qualification included in Part II of the third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now National Medical Commission Act, 2019. ii) A postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality as mentioned in Part-A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications. iii) At least four years teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned speciality failing which an Associate Professor has seven years teaching experience as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor combined in the concerned speciality. However, in all cases, the incumbent shall have a minimum of ten years of teaching experience after post-graduation. M.S. or M.D.(Ophthalmology) F.R.C.S. (Ophthalmology) Speciality Board of Ophthalmology (U.S.A.).	(i) Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh. (ii) Minimum of four Research Publications indexed in index Medicus / National Journal and one Research Publication in International Journal.
3/1-2025	Professor (Anaesthesia)	(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now National Medical Commission Act. 2019. Holders of Educational Qualification included in Part II of the third The schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now National Medical Commission Act. 2019. (ii) A postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Part A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications. (iii) At least four years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the concerned speciality, failing which an Associate Professor having seven years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor combined in the concerned speciality. However, in all cases, the incumbent shall have a minimum of ten years of teaching experience after post-graduation. M.D. or M.S. (Anaesthesiology) F.F.A.R.C. (By examination with Anaesthesiology as a special subject, Speciality Board of Anaesthesiology (U.S.A.)	(i) Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of HP and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh. (ii) Minimum of four Research publications indexed in index Medicus/National Journal and one Research Publication in an International Journal.
