(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than
Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now the National Medical Commission Act. 2019. Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now the National Medical Commission Act. 2019.

(ii) A postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality mentioned or equivalent qualifications.

M.D (Psychologically), M.D (Psychological Medicine) Speciality Board of Psychiatry & Neurology (U.S.A) M.D/M.R.C.P. in Medicine with Diploma in Psychological Medicine.
Atleast 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty failing which an Assistant Professor
having six years teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Lecturer combined which shall include four years teaching
experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty after post graduation.

Provided that in all cases the incumbent must possess atleast five years teaching experience after post graduation in the
concerned specialty.
(i) Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

(ii) Minimum of four Research Publications indexed in index Medicus / National Journal and one Research Publication in International Journal.
