GSSSB Surveyor Recruitment 2026 Overview

Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has issued advertisement No. 467/2026-27 inviting online applications for the recruitment of 78 Surveyor Class-3 posts under the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force, Gujarat State. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the OJAS portal from 30th October 2026 to 20th November 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Board/University OR equivalent qualifications recognised by the department (e.g. Diploma in Civil and Rural Engg, Civil Draftsman, Construction Tech, Survey Engg, etc.).
• OR Certificate of minimum 1 or 2 years course of Surveyor from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) recognised by the Government.
• Note: Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering shall NOT be eligible to apply.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Applications.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit (as of 20/11/2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years
• Age relaxations applicable as per rules: General Female (5 years), Reserved Male (5 years), Reserved Female (10 years), PwD (10-20 years), Ex-Servicemen (service period + 3 years).

Application Fee

Note: The application fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the written examination.

Pay Scale

Fixed Pay of Rs. 26,000/- per month for the first 5 years. After successful completion of 5 years, candidates will be placed in regular pay scale of Rs. 25,500 – 81,100/- (Pay Level-4).

Selection Process

• Written Exam (CBRT/OMR): Single paper of 210 Marks (Part-A: 90 Marks; Part-B: 120 Marks) of 3 hours duration with negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers.
• Physical Walking Test: 25 km in 4 hours for Male candidates; 14 km in 4 hours for Female candidates.
• Document Verification: Verification of original certificates.
