Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) invites online applications for recruitment to 1663 posts of Work Assistant, Class-3, under the Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar Department, Government of Gujarat. Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized board/university or an equivalent diploma qualification recognized by the department.

• Basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years
• Age Relaxation: Unreserved Female (5 years), Reserved Male (5 years), Reserved Female (10 years), PwD Male (10-15 years), PwD Female (15-20 years), Ex-Servicemen (Service duration + 3 years). Maximum age cap is 45 years.

Application Fee

Note: The examination fee is refundable to candidates who appear in the CBRT/OMR exam.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a fixed salary of Rs. 26,000/- per month for the first 5 years. After 5 years of satisfactory service, candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100).

Selection Process

• Single-stage Written Examination (CBRT / OMR Based MCQ Exam) of 210 Marks (Duration: 3 Hours).
• Part-A (90 Marks): Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 Marks), Quantitative Aptitude (30 Marks), Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension (30 Marks).
• Part-B (120 Marks): Subject/Technical Qualification Related Questions (120 Marks).
• Negative Marking: 1/4th (0.25) mark deduction for each incorrect answer.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in Part-A and 40% in Part-B separately.
• Document Verification and Merit List.
